The Content Is General Growing Information, Not a Guarantee

Crop guides, companion-pairing pages, zone calendars, and layout guides on this site are general horticultural information written to be genuinely useful, sourced and dated where the claim is time-sensitive (see the Methodology page). They are not a substitute for your own observation of your specific soil, microclimate, and growing conditions, and they are not professional agricultural, landscaping, or business advice. Real gardens vary by variety, soil, weather, and pest pressure in ways no reference site can fully predict - use your judgment, and treat our figures (spacing, days to maturity, frost windows) as informed ranges, not guarantees of a specific outcome.

The Free Tools

The Companion Pairing Checker, Planting Calendar Generator, Bed Layout Helper, and Frost-Date Lookup are provided free of charge, run entirely in your browser, and are offered as-is. The Frost-Date Lookup in particular reports typical historical ranges - it is explicitly not a weather forecast, and you should not rely on it to predict this season's actual last frost date. We aim for these tools to be accurate and useful, but we don't guarantee they are error-free, and you use them at your own discretion.

The Custom Season Planting Plan (Paid Product)

The Custom Season Planting Plan is a personalized, printable PDF built manually from the zone, bed dimensions, and crop list you provide us, delivered by email within the timeframe stated on the product page. Because it is a manually assembled digital deliverable rather than an instant automated download, please double-check the details you send us - we build the plan from exactly what you provide. If you believe your plan contains an error on our part, contact us and we will correct it.

Direct Contributions

Contributions made through the site's support option are voluntary and go toward keeping GardenPairs free and independently maintained. They are not payment for a specific product or service beyond what is stated on the relevant page at the time of the contribution.

Intellectual Property

The text, design, and original illustrations on this site are our own work unless otherwise credited, and may not be republished wholesale elsewhere without permission. You're welcome to link to any page on GardenPairs and to quote short excerpts with attribution.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GardenPairs is not liable for crop losses, garden outcomes, or other damages arising from the use of information, tools, or products on this site. Gardening involves real variables (weather, pests, soil, timing) that we cannot control or fully predict.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the updated date at the top of this page.

Acceptable Use

Please don't scrape, republish in bulk, or otherwise mass-copy the site's crop guides, companion-pairing pages, or evidence ratings to build a competing chart or database. Reasonable personal use, printing a page for your own garden planning, and linking to any page here are all welcome and encouraged.

Severability

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms are the entire agreement between you and GardenPairs regarding use of the site, replacing any earlier understanding on the same subject.

Third-Party Links

This site may link to third-party services (our payment processor, our contact-form processor, occasionally an external gardening resource cited on the Methodology page). We don't control those sites' content or practices and aren't responsible for them - their own terms and privacy policies apply once you leave GardenPairs.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which GardenPairs is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute arising from your use of the site will be handled under that jurisdiction's law.

These terms apply to every visitor and customer of the site equally, regardless of which page, tool, or product you are using at the time, and continued use of the site after a material change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
